Gloria Trevi Concert!

Last night I went to the Gloria Trevi Concert!  It was amazing!!!! She sang all of my favorite songs and I went crazy!!  The concert was in a Palenque.  Which is an old Mexican tradition.. The stadium surrounds a small dirt ring, where the artist performs.  Which was great because we got to see her up close.  But before the concert they start the party off with some good old fashioned cockfighting!  That's when you know you're in Mexico!

Spring Break In Ecuador

Hey everyone!

This past week I spent my spring break with my parents and had an awesome time!

I met them in Mexico city.  We hung out in Mexico city for a few days before we left to Ecuador.  While in Mexico City we went to all of the major sites.  First we went to Teotihuacan.  Teotihucan is an archeological site which has the largest pyramids in the Americas.  It’s located about 1 hour outside of the city.  On the way we stopped at the Basilica of Guadalupe, which is a very important religious site to the Mexican people.  The next day we went to the National Museum of Anthropology, which is the largest anthropology museum in the world.

After Mexico City, we met up with Oliver and Carly in Quito, Ecuador.  Ecuador was fascinating.  The mountains were gorgeous and all covered with farms.  We went to the city Oliver and Carly live in , Riobamba.  The coolest thing we did in Ecuador was visiting the indigenous people in the mountains.  It was fascinating and very sad to see how some of these people live.  While there, we built an irrigation system for some of the indigenous people, which was a great experience.

After Ecuador we came back to Mexico, and Mom and Dad came and saw Cuernavaca and met with my host family.  It was great to have them come to Cuernavaca.
